Job Description and Skill of MS Dynamics GP

Experience and Competencies:

• 6+ Years experience in GP Banking and Accounting modules with a strong emphasis on General Ledger, Bank Management, Account Receivable, and Sales Order Processing.

• 6+ Years experience in GP HR and Payroll modules.

• 3+ Years experience in BizTalk 2006 configuration and scripting.

• Strong GP Customization experience using VBA, Crystal Reports, FRX, SQL reporting services, Integration Manager, and Dexterity.

• Strong Knowledge of GP databases objects including tables and stored procedures .

• Strong Knowledge of Transact-SQL and MSSQL Server 2005 or higher.

• Strong experience installing, configuring and providing administrative support of

• Microsoft Dynamics GP including configuring user accounts, profiles, roles and other security settings.

• Must show a track record of success deploying Microsoft Dynamics GP solutions.

• Strong knowledge in deploying GP Customizations.

• Strong knowledge in deploying BizTalk applications.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong track record of practicing SDLC best practices.

• Strong familiarity with accounting concepts and technical jargons.



Roles and Responsibilities:

• Providing day-to-day technical application support for Microsoft Dynamics GP and BizTalk.

• Supporting and monitor the daily and monthly batch loading of financial data into GP using BizTalk.

• Review the implementation and coding of BizTalk applications to enhance the performance, validation rules and exception handling.

• Enhancing and Introducing new integration means between Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 and BizTalk 2006 R2.

• Assessing, Implementing, Testing, and Deploying new user requirements related to GP and BizTalk.

• Investigating and Fixing defects in any customized logic within the GP implementation.

• Evaluating and installing Microsoft Dynamics GP and BizTalk updates, upgrades and patches.

• Following up and working with Microsoft support to resolve any GP and BizTalk product defect or malfunction.

• Consistently reviewing and searching the MS GP and BizTalk Knowledge Base for best solutions and practices and applying those solutions as applicable.

• Consistently and systematically transferring knowledge to the designated CLIENT IT staff.

• Preparing for, and executing hands-on training sessions to the designated CLIENT staff as required.

• Providing advice to users on functional best practices.

• Monitor the database growth rate, performance and backup.

• Restoring GP and BizTalk application and databases in term of any damage of failure.

• Perform the necessary preventative and remedial maintenance activities on GP and BizTalk applications and Databases.
