Inventory Accountant - Logistics

Our client is a leading company in supply chain and logisitcs for conflict zones and they are urgently seeking to employ and Inventory Accountant for their Deira office.

This is a pivotal role in the divisions finance team responsible for the financial reporting of the entity's significant inventory assets. Responsible for ensuring that the financial book stock is correctly recorded and reported for all the divisions locations.



You will be tasked with:

To manage a team that records all book stock movements and reconciles to physical stock.

Work closely with IT development to identify needs, and coordinate and manage systems implementations.

To ensure that all the goods purchased, downloaded and transferred is accurately recorded and that variances can be analysed at 15 degrees Celsius.

Monitor the team to ensure the following ensured are properly recorded; goods in transit, delivery receipts, invoices.

Responsible for processing stock credit notes to recognize transport variance and other stock losses.

Provide advice on proper recording of temperature, density and volumes in accordance with international standards.

To manage the monthly inventory closing process to ensure that inventory ledger is closed in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure that all accounting records are properly kept and filed.

Responsible for liaising with external auditors on year end stock take.

Prepare the year end stock take schedules and coordinate with auditors to ensure the stock take is properly completed.

Responsible for challenging stock gains/losses to ensure that accurate information is kept by locations.

Prepare month end reporting to demonstrate the stock movements and gains/losses.

Must be willing to travel to Afghanistan and have be a Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience on Inventory Accounting.
