Director of Catering & Conference Services

Our client, a luxury hotel chain is searching for an experienced Director of Catering and Conference Services to oversee the catering, group sales and business centre operations of an existing hotel.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for driving sales to achieve budgeted goals for the department, contributing to the annual business and marketing plan for the sales and marketing department, preparing monthly forecasts, overseeing service of catering and group functions, negotiating and preparing contracts, conducting site inspections and client meetings, training, mentoring and managing team members.

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of four years catering management experience in the Middle East preferably within luxury hotels, strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills. You will also have the ability to plan proactively, initiate actions and drive decisions. Arabic speakers will have a definite advantage.
