Further information
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in financial reporting, internal control, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and accounting as well as having supervisory experience within the finance function. Previous experience of working with a global organization and reporting into a group function would be beneficial.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
-Managing the company's financial accounting function & monitoring reporting systems in line with GAAP;
-Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;
-Providing and interpreting financial information;
-Responsible for internal controls and processes in line with corporate policies;
-Monitoring and interpreting cash flows;
-Managing local treasury requirements;
-Working with the sales department and accounting team to ensure customers payment terms are met;
-Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance;
-Preparation of annual budget, along with monthly and quarterly budget reviews;
-Approval of expenditure in line with department budgets & corporate policies;
-Oversee the approval and processing of revenue;
-Responsible for Payroll including all deductions, advances, bonus and commission calculations;
-Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and that records systems are maintained;
-Make sure all legal documentation and insurances for the Company business is up to date;
-Developing external relationships e.g. auditors, bankers and statutory organisations;
„-Understanding of financial reporting standards such as US GAAP and IFRS & ability to keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation;
-Supervising staff;
Personal Profile
• Proactive individual who can work autonomously
• Relevant qualification in Accounting
• 5 years of experience with a at least 2 years in a similar managerial position
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power point
• Excellent oral/written communication skills (good command of English)
• Networking and influencing abilities
• Capable of building strong working relationships and open communication channels
