• A management trainer, if working for a company or as a private consultant, typically works out of an office. A management trainer is responsible for analyzing the needs of an organization pertaining to management through analysis, surveys and audits. These tools of assessment provide the training manager with the knowledge needed to effectively develop or enhance an existing training program that targets management. At the managerial level, leadership and decision-making are important processes into which managers need insight. The management trainer establishes the correct training solution for management.
Skills
• A management trainer must be an analyst. The skill of an analyst is needed to determine training objectives and goals for management personnel. The outcome from these objectives and goals should reflect in higher proficiency in areas of decision-making, personnel issues, leadership and strategic planning. The trainer must have excellent written and oral communication skills and project development skills, and if the opportunity arises, have the ability to instruct and communicate with organizational personnel regarding training needs for management. Computer skills are very important in this position.
