Our client, a group of company based in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking to recruit an Investment Analyst. You will be directly reporting to the Head of private Equity

The Investment Analysts is primarily responsible for evaluating new transaction opportunities and develop strategy for existing private equity portfolio investments.

Major duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluation of new transaction opportunities, and associated financial modeling, market analysis, industry analysis and presentation of recommendations
• Development of deal structure, and ability to discuss and negotiate deal terms with counter-party
• Ability to develop strategy for existing private equity portfolio investments, and to provide guidance to management of such companies
• Ability to engage with co-investors and other shareholders on existing private equity portfolio companies to build consensus around decision-making
• Ability to do primary research on sectors of interest - the private equity division frequently uses a top-down approach which involves researching sectors of interest and then finding companies that match the investment thesis
• Discuss and negotiate private equity term sheets, share purchase agreements, buyout financing agreements, and bank debt agreements
• Strong research capabilities – the private equity division frequently uses a top-down approach which involves researching sectors of interest and then finding companies that match the investment thesis
• Present ideas clearly and concisely to board members and senior management
• Performs other duties as assigned

Person Profile :
• Mid-level professional with 7 – 8 years of total work experience, or 3 – 4 years of work experience post MBA or other graduate degree, required for private equity division of large, highly capitalized family office based in Abu Dhabi, with a small, highly focused & productive private equity team
• Strong experience in portfolio management
• Some work experience in developed markets, e.g. Europe, North America is preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare, education and industrials sectors preferred
• Ability to speak and write Arabic (simple agreements, documents, board resolutions, etc) is preferred
• Some prior experience in strategy consulting at a top tier firm,
• Good team player – we have a close knit culture and want to make sure there is a good cultural fit
