Job Description and Requirements
SCOPE OF WORK
The Child Officer is working directly under the Child Protection Coordinator. He/she is responsible for the overall support and supervision of the UAC programs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The CP Officer is specifically responsible for the following tasks:
• Ensuring that all sectors and UAM area of work are run according to SOP (reception area, the transit area the community)
• Ensuring that the overall case management system is done according to SOP (interview, documentation, children individual\u2019s file, data entry, follow up and monitoring, referrals, information sharing, work related to foster parents/mentors)
• Ensure the coordination and collaboration between the other sector
• Ensure he coordination between the relevant partners
• Ensure that all case worker have a clear schedule and that their HR is up to date (shift rotation, transit volunteers, etc
• Responsible to provide the needs and develop the Purchasing Request (PR) / compilation of the PR. Follow up with the logistic team and provide feedback to the team on the evolution of the purchasing
• Participate in the development of the Monitoring plan and participate in the monitoring of activities
• With the support of the team develop best practices and lesson learned. Ensure that all SOP are up to date and integrate the best practices and lesson learned
• Compile the CP UAM weekly sitrep for thue area of intervention
• Facilitate/co-facilitate training when required
• Any other CP tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma minimum, university degree preferable
• Minimum of5 years professional experience from which 3 years in NGO
• Experience in management of team (5 people minimum)
• Experience in management ofprograms
• Experience in working in sector relating to children (child protection, child rights, gender based violence, education, pedo- psychology,etc) mandatory
• Experience in working in emergency a plus and/or working in the field
• Fluency in Arabic and English writtenand speaking
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularlyExcel, Word
• Strong sense of personal integrity and understanding of confidentiality
• Additional qualities: fast learner, ability to work under pressure and long working hours, flexibility, cultural and environmental sensitivity
• Team work skills
