Job Description
The job purpose is to support the activities of the Enterprise Development business unit by conducting, compiling, analyzing and presenting data on a variety of projects. This provides a comprehensive insight to facilitate directions & decisions impacting the organization and its mode of doing business. The business unit purpose is to support innovation in the space of technology and in particular its commercial application, through a set of initiatives aimed at generating value from innovation - E.g Technology Transfer & Business Incubation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research
-Initiate, maintain and monitor rigorous research activities based on mandates received by the senior managers.
-Use appropriate research techniques/methodology to ensure relevant data is captured to support the agreed deliverables
-Ensure data sources are legitimate by thorough background checks and where possible centralize such sources to share knowledge to the immediate / wider team.
-Maintain contacts with external sources to ensure that the best possible information is obtained and at external meetings / conferences always represent the organization in a positive image.
Collate Data and Analyze
-Collect, record and store project data and documents in a comprehensive format using appropriate software and maintain it if required for future use.
-Conduct end-to-end analyzes of the data, synthesis results and prepare reports to communicate results accurately and clearly to the senior managers to assist in visualizing clear trends, etc.
Present with recommendations
-Tailor make presentations to ensure data is represented objectively and clearly to facilitate the ability to make the most informed decision
Execute / Implement / Report
-Supervising specific processes within the project, ensuring that deadlines are met, progress is tracked, activities are documented and issues are promptly brought to the attention of key internal / external stakeholders.
