Job Description and Requirements
•Determines project specifications by studying project specifications and provides the Project Manager with technical expertise during the entire project life;
•Develops project Technical Scope by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with relevant management;
•Leads the technical Support to the PM during meetings and client visits;
•Coordinates between the project manager and the other disciplines for technical matters (engineering, design, procurement, logistic, QA/QC/TPI, integration & site works);
•Ensures all technical justifications for contractual variations during projects are maintained to support subsequent variation claims.
•Responsible for the overall Technical Leadership of the Project, including support for selection of suppliers, integration of the overall system solution and support for technical issues during Site Commissioning and Hand-Over.
•Leads the In-House Engineering Design to ensure compliance with the Project Schedule.
•Schedule Preparation and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project.
•Interface with systems engineers when necessary on technical engineering activities;
•Assure the accuracy of Engineering milestone forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules;
•Attend project meetings and collects the necessary Technical data for the other disciplines;
•Inter-discipline coordination and overall quality control of the technical work;
• Assisting the project manager with regard to design and execution of one or more simultaneous projects in accordance with contract, per company policies and procedures and work instructions;
•Interpretation of design documents and drawings for relevant parties;
•Design planning and review of design input requirement and addressing of any ambiguous or conflicting requirements;
•Evaluate and renew of design changes and modifications;
•Review of engineering deliverables, ensuring changes based on redlining drawings;
•Evaluating, organising and prioritising technical work within the overall project schedule;
• Liaising and managing suppliers to ensure all Technical deliverables are as per the scope for Engineering.
• Taking responsibility for a team of engineers and training/mentoring junior engineers;
•Effective communications between engineering, procurement, integration, construction, and other department groups and assistance to the project manager for Technical matters;
•Assist in preparing weekly project management reports by providing Engineering status;
•Coordination for preparing Technical presentations for internal and external use;
•Ensuring that an electronic and manual filing project filing system is maintained by Document Controllers;
*Management skills, Excellent Communications Skills & Proficient in MS office Application
•Knowledge of Primavera outputs and understands Critical Path Analysis.
•Education : Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
•Experience: Minimum 5-8 years experience out of which few years in Industrial Project Technical management (Oil & Gas, Power Networks etc.)
