Responsibilities:
Perform code review sessions with other developers and suggest improvements or alternate strategies when appropriate.
Take ownership of technical solutions from the design and architecture through development and unit testing.
Assist less senior members of the staff with hands-on development work in high-pressure, time sensitive situations.
Skills:
Min. 2+ years professional experience building web based applications in PHP: Magento essential
Able to work with MVC Frameworks: Zend Framework a plus
Ability to write and performance optimize SQL queries for MySQL
Strong HTML, Javascript and CSS skills
Knowledge of optimization such as memcached, SOLR and scaling MySQL/PHP
Basic understanding of GNU/Linux and Apache web server
Familiarity with JavaScript (jQuery) and AJAX
Familiar with version management (SVN, GIT etc)
Detail oriented with excellent organization and time-management abilities
