Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic messaging plans on a corporate level and driving those messages through the company’s communication channels to the appropriate audiences. This will include, but not be limited to:

• Participating in studies leading to policy recommendations to executive management on public relations issues
• Developing and preparing special reports and proposals for presentation by the Chief Executive and or other company officers to the Board of Directors and for use at meetings with shareholder representative
• Providing consultation and advice to other departments of the company in preparation of informative material in various media for dissemination to company employees and the general public, such as miscellaneous publications of technical and sensitive nature on aspects of company operations and programs
• Producing special articles for company periodicals
• Preparing speeches for delivery by the President and other top executives to employees and the public
• Preparing replies to comment in the international and domestic media with letters, press releases, or statements
• Recommend media best suited to reach the public or particular segments of the public, and coordinate the use of such media
• Investigating new public relations techniques and media for their possible application and use
• Advising division heads and other key public relations personnel on their plans, programs, and operations, and being available to them as required
• Acting as host to company and PR visitors and speaking for the company on occasions as assigned


Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field from an accredited university 
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, journalism or related field with some experience of working in the Middle East 
• Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic is highly desirable 
• Thorough knowledge and interest in the industry, public relations and trends worldwide
