Purpose:



Develop visual merchandising standards consistent with the Company brand image and values, and to ensure that the standards are properly executed across all stores.

Manage the implementation of all store merchandising strategies/ initiatives consistent with the company's goals with regard to image and focus on product sell-through.



Responsibilities:


•Develop consistent, trend driven and innovative, brand-right visual merchandising strategies and solutions.
•Participate in all collection presentations indicating trends and themes to be linked and complimented throughout window schemes.
•Plan regular channels for communication with designers where ideas for outfit mix and combinations can be applied.
•Prepare and own VM roadmaps and progress sheets.
•Apply monthly updates and reports and be able to present status during monthly management meetings and as and when required.
•Prepare and manage VM budgetary plans and forecasts.
•Constant promoting of a positive store image through effective visual merchandising and ensuring that standards are being maintained within the stores.
•Provide accurate and detailed plans required for all new store openings.
•Provide plans to promote product and sales through VM best practice for all Green Wing stores and outlet store.
•Be responsible for the visual presentation of all products areas - ladies, kids, accessories and other categories introduced by Company in pursuance of its lifestyle model.
•Maximize sales through the effective window display of the product.
•Work with the Marketing team in determining specific visual needs, such as fixtures, image photos, and point of sale materials for the store.
•Attend and contribute to weekly/monthly sales and stock meeting.
•Assisting in building the brand through communication and adherence to corporate visual directives.
•Create seasonal floor plans and implement floor changes consistent with the store's layout, customer demands, and current product focus.
•Train and develop VM assistants, store management and store employees to achieve professional display standards at all times.
•Train new members of staff in stores in visual merchandising techniques.
•Form strong working relationship and regular communication with the Retail Operations team.
•Proactively seek ways of improving the visual standards of the Company.
•Understand and support the implementation of window schemes and communicate issues throughout the Company.
•Maximize window display to promote the company sale time.
•Apply and promote strong communication and best practice throughout all internal and external departmental projects.



Relationships:


Marketing Department:
1.Regular meetings to plan and coordinate all visual displays for future promotional events and to discuss emerging trends.




•Retail Operations Director:
1.Regular meetings to discuss merchandising initiatives based on company and local shopping patterns, customer activity and sell-through.


•Designers:
1.Monthly meetings to discuss new collections and discuss the visual displays for these collections


•Buyers:
1.Monthly meetings to discuss new collections and discuss the visual displays for these collections


•Retail Store Managers:
1.Monitoring sales trends in partnership with the Store Manager and making merchandising recommendations based on shopping patterns, customer activity and sell-through.


•Store Personnel:
1.Training Store Teams on the latest visual merchandising standards and techniques.

Experience
•Minimum of 5+ years experience in retail visual merchandising.
•Proven track record is required.
•Experience in developing and implementing visual merchandising processes within a retail environment.
•Experience in developing and delivering training in relation to visual merchandising within a retail environment.



Qualifications:
•Relevant business diploma or degree.
•Other qualifications and/ or training in visual merchandising is very helpful.
•Supervisory experience an asset.




Key Performance Indicators Against Which The Visual Merchandising Manager Will Be Measured



Quantitative:
•Sales vs. budget
•Customer conversion rate
•Average number of items per transactions




Qualitative:
•Customer satisfaction in relation to stock presentation.
•Visual merchandising standards compliance by store.
