Role Purpose:
This job is responsible for the overall performance assessment and development across the Group.
The job holder will ensure that performance cycles are closed on time and that performance issues are
raised, tackled and resolved. The job requires great level of communication and coordination with all business units, and will bear some responsibility regarding soft training delivery.


Key Accountabilities:

Performance Management
• Provides ongoing trainings on performance management and assessment targeted to different
employee groups. These will be conducted in sessions throughout the year for the benefit of educating
staff on the proper use of the performance management system, including new starters.
• Manages the two yearly cycles of the performance management for the Group and provides ongoing
analysis and support.
• Reviews performance issues, arranges for performance improvement plans with the concerned business units, and follows up with the implementation of the plans to ensure performance
improvement.
• Updates the performance management system with the active list of users to generate accurate data
and reports.
• Participates actively in any future upgrade or selection of the performance management system.
• Ensures that related policy is created, updated, and communicated.


Training:
• Generates performance results across the Group and uses them as input to the training planning
process.
• Designs a Group level training plan based on inputs from business units and strategy plans, this plan
will include a proposal on both in house trainings and external trainings, covering soft and technical
skills.
• Meets on quarterly basis with business units to keep them up to date with the training activities and
any changes in the proposed plans.
• Delivers some basic soft skills training internally, which have been identified in the in house training
plan, and gradually increases the level of competency in training delivery to cover some other complex
training titles.
• Arranges with a third party training provider to deliver selected training courses and ensures that
proper reference and background check are completed prior to any agreement.
• Ensures that all delivered trainings are evaluated and such feedback is documented for records.
• Creates a training knowledge based center on the HR portal by uploading all relevant course contents
obtained by participants.
• Introduce E training to the Group to expand the size of trainings delivered internally and to create a
culture of self discipline and development.
• Participates in any future selection of the training system
• Ensures that related policy is created, updated and communicated.

Internship:

• Prepares a yearly internship plan with the coordination of business units.
• Communicates directly with local universities and colleges to demonstrate support and interest in
taking interns on board.
• Facilitates the internship program internally and ensures that interns receive proper training and
feedback
• Ensures that related policy is created, updated and communicated.
Reports & Analysis
• Provides ongoing statistics on performance and training data
• Analyze data to support in understanding future trends and directions.

Operating Environment:
The job holder works in a very dynamic environment where he/she will be monitoring development
plans on an ongoing basis, and will be raising any performance issue to the attention of management.

The job requires a lot of planning, preparation and organizing. The job holder will act as a mentor,
trainer/facilitator, and coach. He/she will be in contact with almost every employee across the Group,
hence strong communication skills are considered crucial for the success of this role.

The job requires data analysis and making sense of such data to produce comprehensive reports that
will support in current and future direction.


Decision Making:
The job holder will work under the supervision of the Group HR Manager, and will have a high level of
autonomy and dependency within his/her work area in order to make sound decisions.

• Senior Management at all levels,
• Line Managers of various companies/departments within the Group,
• HR Teams,
• Al Fahim Group Staff

External:
• Training Companies
• Performance Management system vendor

• Universities and colleges

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Qualification
• University Degree.

Experience:

8 years in HR, 3 of which are direct experience in performance development.
