Chief Officer- Corporate Governance

Job Description and Requirements


Our client are one of the most respected and recognizable companies in the Middle East. They are experiencing significant expansion and desire for their services right now and are sourcing the Chief Officer role.




The position is based in Dubai but covering the entire Middle East and you will assume full responsibility for the Corporate Governance function of this business.



The area is in very high demand currently given that the Corporate Governance model is still a new area in the Middle East, therefore this is an exciting opportunity to make a mark in the region.



We would ideally be looking for people who have many years Corporate Governance experience although regretably I am not looking for people who are working as an FD, CFO or other finance departments. I am looking for somebody who has and is working in a coprorate governance or legal function at partner level. You may even be a retired Big 4 partner who is looking for a corporate governance role as this position may even be a Board role.



We are looking for somebody who can work with Sheiks, Ministries, and government departments advising on governance. For example if a Family business is looking at becoming a conglomerate then they would need process put into place, similarly if a country is looking at rebuilding then this person would be working with the government on establishing new governments etc. This is a very high level position so somebody who has worked with several different clients would be suitable.



You almost certainly will come from a Big 4, Major Government entity or NGO, or a conglomerate as long as you are a governance expert. You may well be operating in the USA, UK or the Middle East.



You will also be responsible for sales and business development so you must have this experience.
