Job Description and Requirements
•Responsible for the overall condition of Vehicle in the company.
•Oversees incoming and outgoing consignment of goods for the cost effective options.
•Ensures that stock are handled and properly transferred by the respective Vehicles Modes.
•Ensures that the rented vehicles is properly managed and kept to the minimum.
•Ensure the utilization of Company Vehicles to the maximum, thus ensuring the asset utilization and rent optimization.
•Decides proactive/corrective actions to ensure that stock is properly handled and funds and space are efficiently optimized.
•Plan and organize the workshop working to keep the vehicle downtime to the minimum.
•Keep track of all workshop expenses to have the better budget control.
•Ensures efficiency of process by monitoring and controlling Staff.
•Decides on type of reports required in addition to the existing reports.
•Decides on proactive/corrective actions to be taken.
•Monitors efficiency of custom clearance.
•Monitors the clearing and forwarding process.
•Controls customer care and ensures that complaints are dealt with promptly.
•Decides on action to be taken to resolve customer complaints.
•Ensures efficiency of distribution process.
•Ensures the planning process of the dispatch vehicles to streamline the vehicle utilization as well as OTIF.
•Ensures quality control measures are taken during the dispatch process.
•Decides on solutions to increase efficiency of distribution process.
•Ensures that the workshop items are stored safely and securely.
•Ensures the safety of staff, work place & environment are maintained at all times.
•Ensures the security policies & procedures are properly implemented and followed at all times.
•Ensures all workshop tools & equipment are well maintained and in good condition.
•Ensures the delivery fleets, trucks, vans…etc. are well maintained and in good condition.
•Performs audit on processes to ensure meeting HSE standards.
•Recommends on the HSE tactics to be used to ensure secured and safety item storage.
•Decides on proactive/corrective actions to be taken to address the audit findings.
•Communicates job roles & responsibilities to the team members.
•Agrees clear performance objectives for the team members in the department.
•Agrees and implements development and training plans.
•Appoints new staff and covers for any staff shortage.
•Decides on roles and responsibilities to be delegated.
•Decides on performance objectives to be communicated to the individuals in the department.
•Recommends training and development plans.
•Decides on allocation of drivers and staff. Decides on manpower requirements.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
7+ years of related experience managing warehouse. Experience should have demonstrated supervisory/management capabilities.
