Electrical/Electronics Engineer

Job Description and Requirements


SUMMARY:


Designs, develops, tests and/or supervises the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Design efficient, cost effective, productive, accurate and complete electrical system for various GSE equipments
•Design non-structural mounting equipment where necessary for electrical components
•Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects
•Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical/electronic systems and scope of work to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
•Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new products
•Direct operations and coordinates manufacturing, procurement, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
•Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
•Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products
•May at times estimate labor, material, and construction costs, and prepares specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
•Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications
•Inspect completed installations and observes operations for conformance to design and to create reference information for As Constructed documentation and future design
•Compile information and create drawings regarding existing and potential engineering projects
•Develop and document work procedures based on technical requirements of electrical equipment



Specific Duties: 
Listing of the specific duties or performances necessary to carry out the above mentioned responsibilities.

Check, design, revise all prints, redesign, analyze, and apply technical support Provide technical direction to lower-level engineers and technicians on cad problems
Execute and coordinate new assignments
Provide technical presentations
Provide on-the–job training to new staff

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
o Bachelors Degree of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from four-year
college or university; or

o Five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience

o Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to
produce motion, light, power, technology, and other applications

o Knowledge of electric circuit boards, processors, chips, and computer
hardware and software, including applications and programming

o Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments
involved in the production and use of technical plans, blueprints, and
drawings

o Knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to construct
components, mounting systems and insulation.



LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English language: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general engineering periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write
reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and
the general public.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
(The training requirements include company, ISO and
OSHA requirements up to and including local laws pertinent to job)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work performed in a manufacturing environment
Exposure to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable
