Managing a team of translators and even convert written material from one or more 'source languages' into the 'target language', ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible. Preferable experience in the field of legal, financial and/or commercial translations.
•Managing a team of translators, answering all their questions and reviewing all the translated materials from them.
•Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
•Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points
•Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
•Using appropriate software for presentation and delivery.
•Proofreading and editing final translated versions.
•Providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document.
•Using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process;
•Helping the translator’s team to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
•Providing quotations for translation services offered.
•Consulting with experts in specialist areas.
•Supplying subtitles for foreign films and television programs.
•Retaining and developing specialist knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
•Networking and making contacts.
Job Requirements & Skills:
•8-10 years of experience in translation.
•Bachelor degree holder.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Excellent computer skills.
•Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.
•Familiar of the legal sector translation.
•Ability to work and meet tight deadlines
