We are currently seeking an experienced Driver to join the Al Futtaim Motors team in Abu Dhabi. The main responsibilities of your role will be to provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to customers with safety being a top priority; to provide a communication link between customers and staff; to operate and maintain assigned vehicle(s); and to maintain vehicles.
Essential Duties are as follows:
Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
Maintains defensive driving
Provides a communication link between customers and branch staff
Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside
Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management
Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required
Fuels the assigned vehicle(s)
Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimise service interruptions
Serves as a positive role model while providing transportation service
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment
Good English language skills
Arabic language skills preferred but not essential
Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures
Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others
Ability to operate a Delivery van/truck or small bus
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to operate lift equipments
Employee must possess a valid U.A.E. driver's license class 4
Desirable Experience and Training:
High school OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, provided the age and safe driving record requirements are met
