Job Description:
Our client, a leading building facade access solution and turnkey provider is looking for a Junior Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical design.
Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer/Design Manager you will be responsible for working with a team of designers; understanding the project requirements & specifications; interacting with Senior Engineer in completing the design tasks in time and to the intended design requirements; handling 1 or 2 projects from concept to manufacturing drawings preparing Technical Submittals and coordinating for approvals; with assistance from senior designers, carrying out detail design of elements; sub-assemblies; preparing manufacturing drawings and coordinating with manufacturing team till assembly; testing & commissioning; visiting installations for design validation; taking guidance from senior designers; producing quality design in stipulated time; generating innovative solutions; testing & implementing.
To qualify you will possess a Mechanical Engineering degree, have a minimum of 2 years of design experience and have an interest in research and development activity cycles in Mechanical Engineering. You must have knowledge and experience in mechanics, drives & controls, machine elements, AutoCAD, solid works or Auto Desk (3D) and usage of MS excel calculators. You must possess excellent inter-personal communication skills, be organised, a self starter, team player and have a problem solving attitude.
