Job description
To understand customer requirements, provide excellent service and handle freight import & export operations to facilitate growth, know and exceed our client’s expectations, continue to improve the efficiency and productivity of operations and to grow by being the best in service, quality and efficiency
Receive prealerts/routing orders/bookings from customers/Damco network and sales
Receive and coordinate emergency shipments (BBEs) hotline and coordination
Monitor ATA/ETA with airlines/forwarders/DNATA and ensure freight has arrived as per schedule.
To coordinate with clients regarding freight clearance instruction, type of Bill Of Entry and prepare documentation for customs clearance.
Candidate requirements
Experience of sea and/or freight forwarding is essential
Airline experience is a plus,. Experience of working with government & defence companies is also beneficial
Behavioral
Possess strong operational team leadership, management and development. Pleasant personality and a good team player
Must be ready to work shift and on weekends/public holidays
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Customer service focus
Technical
Must be familiar with all airfreight processes, both imports and exports
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding. Knowledge of UAE airport and customs regulations and rules. Good understanding of carriers and contractors. Proficient in MS office
