The Operational Risk Business Analyst will join an expanding and challenging business function that has been given budget and scope to make large scale improvements throughout 2012. The Operational Risk Business Analyst will support the Operational Risk Change Function across 6/7 different work streams covering Risk Assessments, Operational Risk Framework, Workflow System, New Product Approval, Policy, Training, and both Business and IT Process Change.
Role · Working with the 1st line business and 2nd line Operational Risk Relationship Managers, define and document business requirements · Working with IT development to design and build the workflow system, participating in system testing, arranging UAT and providing user manuals and other supporting documentation · Planning and executing other key project deliverables including data migration and user training · Completing accurate and timely project reporting, aggregating information to support effective decision making at all levels · Feeding information to project support services as required (e.g. status reporting, issue, risk and dependency management) · Re engineering Business Process Change and Risk Assessments and New Product Approval Requirements · Understanding of Operational Risk & Control frameworks with a track record of delivery in this area, particularly product approval and / or risk assessment processes and tools · Experience of Operational Risk reporting and processes · Writing and reviewing business and functional specifications · Ability to liaise with business teams (Operational Risk Relationship Managers & IT development teams) · Ability to prepare documentation · Operational Risk Experience from a Financial Services Environment is essential for this role.
