With offices around the world servicing commercial and military clients in remote locations with a broad range of product offerings, this major European conglomerate has identified a real need for, and is enthusiastically backing a new standalone aviation business that will both develop new business in new markets, as well as offering a new service to existing clients of the group.
The firm, based in Dubai, will work with clients such as mining firms, military bodies, oil & gas sites, humanitarian missions etc amongst others who require flights and helicopter services set up flying into remote and often hazardous locations. The firm will charter the aircraft, but will run all client relations and all ground services and logistics. The new firm will benefit from the finance, infrastructure, sales channels and brand name of a major global group, whilst maintaining autonomy and the abilitiy to build and shape a world class competitive service in a growing market.
The CEO will run the firm from Dubai, taking a proactive role in setting up the operations, standards of the firm, processes, relations and cross selling with the parent group as well as recruiting a team to sell, operate and administrate the business. The scale of the firm and the investment is significant and the industry niche and specialist, and as such we are strictly seeking a top calibre professional with all of the following: · Must have direct experience of working for a similar remote site aviation business · Will have worked at a strategic level, either as a CEO of a mid cap business or at least director level of a larger one. Beyond this we will be looking for genuine business acumen from a financial and promotional aspect, start up experience would be helpful and a real sense of energy.
