General Manager

Our client a leading Group of Companies is looking out for a General Manager for their Marine Division. The company is specialized in leisure craft, yacht sales and service/maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
Running on day to day basis of the company
Responsible for maintaining smooth flow of works between departments. Ensuring that the company stays on schedule with regards to yachts sales, technical and accounting matters.
Brands and yacht agencies: in constant contact with factory management regarding new products, pricelist, marketing tools, special factory deals and promotions. Factory and boat show visit to see products.
Sales: Provide clients with appropriate documentations, demonstrate products, provide quotations, negotiate pricing and draft contracts.
After Sales: in constant relation with the owner to make sure they are happy with their boat. Giving them advice on how to use their new product ( often going sailing with clients)
Boat Shows & Event organizations (Dubai International Boat Shows, Emirates Boat Shows. Beneteau Cup, Duboats Regattas).
Full organization of staff, stand, products, displays, marketing tools, sending invitations to owners and potential clients.
Technical: Supervise all technical works regarding sailing boats, finalizing with technical manager all the yacht commissioning, technical advisor to clients and coaching of technical staffs. Handover of new boat to clients.
Marketing and Advertising: provide magazines with ads and boat review for new products. Organize interviews with journalists and TV channels. Organize marketing events. Run full Duboats racing team to promote Beneteau brands in the region and on the race track. Find and provide sponsors.
Accounts: Supervise invoicing, bill payments, money recovery.
Provide yearly budget
Organize weekly staff meeting to go through all activities on each department.
Development of the gulf market: Always in contact with potential sub dealers in the region. Checking each market development. Making sure we are always step ahead regarding new sale opportunities and marina project where we could base ourselves.
Experience within relevant industry is preferred.
