Responsible for managing and controlling the overall catering operations to ensure availability of adequate manpower, food quality, safety, hygiene, equipment efficiency and other related services - working towards achieving total customer satisfaction, profitability and growth of the business.
Ensures the implementation of policies and procedures relevant to meeting the operational standards, business plans and budgets.
Sets and monitors achievement of agreed KPIs such as sales, food cost, wastages, and operational costs.
Conducts regular visits to catering locations and imposes relevant measures or ready solutions to operational problems that may arise from time to time.
Initiates improvement in the operations, ensuring smooth and effective inter/intra-relations among concerned individuals or parties.
Evaluates periodic performance targets in terms of sales, profit, etc; Works with Marketing to plan new promotions or initiatives, and guides Location Managers on commendable ways to achieve sales target.
Conducts hygiene audits on a regular basis; Ensures total compliance with all related rules and regulations setforth by governmental bodies, local standard organizations, Ministry of Health, Food and Safety, etc;
Negotiates contract terms with customers and suppliers; Monitors the quality of products and services provided to customers;
Maintains the catering plan, including a comprehensive event planning service to clients; Sees to it that the company resources are utilized, and services are delivered according to the established timelines;
Identifies areas of improvement to maintain systems and operating procedures that support the delivery of required catering services.
Overall people management
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Hotel Restaurant and Management/ Hospitality Management
Bilingual in English and Arabic
At least 5 years of experience on a similar managerial position; Strong background in local catering operations, with established network in the local food/catering industry;
Background in Food and Beverage and knowledge on multi-cuisines are preferable.
